Last.fm Presents shines the spotlight on up-and-coming bands with live events, intimate studio performances and interviews, culminating in an annual multi-city festival.

Overview

Last.fm Presents takes the hottest bands such as Grammy Award-winners Phoenix, Passion Pit, Tori Amos and Butch Walker (fresh off of his Grammy appearance with Taylor Swift) and captures video of their intimate exclusive performances from our New York studio, London studio, or direct from festivals around the world.  Those performances are posted to CBS Radio station websites, Last.fm, MP3.com as well as artist sites, label sites and social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Myspace).

About/History

Last.fm Presents, broadcast on CBS Radio’s HD multicast stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco and streamed online, serves as an audio extension of the globally popular music discovery site featuring music popular on the site and up-close and personal interaction with the artists themselves. Additional elements on the station include programming devoted to Last.fm’s weekly charts (http://www.last.fm/charts) determined by the service’s users – top tracks and artists are based on total weekly play on Last.fm; hyped tracks and artists have shown significant weekly growth in listenership; loved tracks are the songs most “favorited” by listeners in a given week.
